Business Development Manager

Our client, a growing IT solutions provider for dental and medical practices in the Northeast, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. This hybrid role requires a driven, adaptable professional to focus on bringing in new clients and expanding business across Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, and New Hampshire. The position is based in Cheshire, CT, and offers a base salary of up to $65,000/year with uncapped commission potential, leading to on-target earnings of around $101,000 at the end of year 1.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within dental and medical practices across the region.
  • Engage in both inside and outside sales, building relationships with prospects through strategic outreach, presentations, and in-person visits.
  • Develop creative approaches to lead generation and client acquisition, such as coffee and donut pop-ins and after-hours presentations for dentists at breweries and other local places, etc. Make it fun and make it your own!
  • Maintain a consistent presence in the office (typically two days per week) for meetings, strategy sessions, and team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to refine sales strategies and improve outreach efforts.
  • Present confidently to decision-makers, including dentists, doctors, and their staff, offering tailored IT solutions.
  • Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, with a focus on long-term client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience, ideally but not required, in a technical or IT-related field, with a focus on both inside and outside sales.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to connect with healthcare professionals at all levels.
  • Ability to learn and understand technical concepts (specific industry training will be provided).
  • Self-motivated with a creative mindset, not afraid to step outside the box to win new business.
  • Resilient and adaptable, thriving in an environment where processes are evolving.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid role with travel to prospective clients and regular in-office meetings.
